Day 1:
Welcome at the International Airport and hotel transfer.
Lodging: Holiday Inn Hotel- Managua City

Day 2:
Cerro Negro Volcano, City of Leon and Ruins of Old Leon.
Tour to the Cerro Negro volcano and the Colonial City of Leon, the university center and also one of the most active cities during the Sandinista battles in the 1970s. Lunch included, and we continue on to the ruins of Old Leon, first capital of Nicaragua, founded in 1524 and declared  World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000. From here our trip goes on to the Maribios volcanic chain to the northeast, to see one of the youngest volcanoes in the Americas, Cerro Negro (450 meters). An extremely active formation, it has developed its present form through a series of eruptions, some of them very violent. On the way back we will return to Leon to visit some of its most important sites, including the Cathedral, where the remains of the immortal poet Ruben Dario are at rest. Afterwards we will proceed to the Ruben Dario Museum and the Ortiz Gurdian Art Gallery.

Day 3:
Tour to Telica Volcano and San Jacinto Hot Springs. We will head north of the city to reach the extinct cone of Santa Clara, at the base of which are the San Jacinto steam vents. Afterwards we will hike the impressive Telica Volcano (1,061 m), in frequent activity, averaging an eruption every five years, when it belches up clouds of volcanic sand and ash and emits fumaroles from its deep crater.  Here we'll be able to see some of the old lava flows.

Day 4:  
Tour to Masaya Volcano National Park, Handicraft Market and Catarina Overlook. Departure from the city of Leon to Masaya Volcano National Park, Nicaragua's first National Park (established in 1979), with an area of 54 km2 encompassing two outstanding volcanic districts - Nindiri and Masaya. There we will admire the impressive Santiago Crater in the district of Masaya at a height of 635 meters above sea level. With a crater 450 meters in diameter and 300 meters deep, this volcano is considered one of the most active in the country.  After walking along the south side of the crater, we will continue our journey to the city of Masaya, cradle of Nicaraguan folklore and handicrafts. We will stop for lunch, and after visiting the handicraft market we do some panoramic sightseeing at Catarina Overlook, taking in the amazingly beautiful Apoyo Lagoon - an enormous cauldron of volcanic origin with the deepest geological point in all of Central America.

Day 5:
Tour to the Colonial City of Granada, Lake Nicaragua and its Islands.  Departure to the City of Granada, founded in 1524 by the Spanish captain Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba. The city is linked to  the most important events of Central America; it was destroyed on several occasions during civil wars and was the centre of activity for the famous U.S. mercenary,  William Walker. Granada is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved cities in the country. After our visit we will make a stop for lunch and thenboard a boat to discover the Lake Nicaragua´s Islets, a group of more than 300 tiny volcanic islets covered by luxuriant sub-tropical vegetation.

Day 6:
Mombacho Volcano Adventure Tour (Canopy and Natural Reserve). A few kilometers from the city of Granada rises the Mombacho Volcano with its natural reserve, where we will experience a spectacular canopy ride through thick vegetation at approximately 30 meters above ground level, passing along wooden platforms and footbridges over the tree tops. We will top off our reserve experience with a comfortable hike along a footpath through lush native vegetation surrounded by a rich diversity of tropical Nicaraguan birds. After stopping for a typical lunch, we will proceed on foot along the majestic skirts of Mombacho Volcano (1,345 meters above sea level), overlooking the city of Granada. Day 7:
Ometepe, Oasis of Peace. Transfer to the southern part of Nicaragua to the port of San Jorge, where we will take the ferry to Ometepe Island, which in Nahuatl means "Place of Two Hills," where in fact the two volcanos, Concepcion and Maderas rise to greet us. Arrival and lodging at the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon there will be free time to rest.

Day 8:
Tour to Maderas Volcano. Early in the morning we will head off to Madera Volcano (1,395 meters), a volcanic cone totally covered by vegetation with a fresh water lagoon in the center. Picnic lunch. Much of the volcano's slopes are covered by extensive fields of coffee, one of Nicaragua's  most important export crops.

Day 9:
Free morning to rest and enjoy the beach. Lunch will be served at the hotel. In the afternoon we will transfer to the port of San Jorge to take the boat back and return to the city of Managua.
